So I've been working on helping my mother bail herself out of some crazy flooding in her cellar, she's had since we had that heavy rain a few weeks ago. Well I've been fortunate in the fact that her local fire department was nice enough to supply a pump to help her control the water. Yesterday reached that point where the favor ran thin. So I needed to figure out a way to at least try and control the issue until the water level in the neihborhood went down naturally. See my mother lives in a valley area across from a lake. So she is the lowest point where all the overflowing seems to gather. A losing battle it seems most of the time. But after spending a couple hours in a local Home Depots, and Lowes last night. I think I at least have it so the water can be pumped out and managed till it drys up on its own and doesnt return. What a fun experience! I think our first house will be on stilts!! Hahaha!
On a side note here. I'll tell you those sale people at the home improvement stores can be quite helpful at times. Before I knew it at one I had a carriage full of everything I needed to pump out the Titanic!! Haha! Must of been that lost puppy look I had on my face. It screamed "Here's a sale!!" Needless to say the carriage never left the store. Haha. Good help and effort there though I appreciated that.
